Parking Sensors in Centre Road Bentleigh

The PayStay app is live in selected Council car parks and on-street parking bays across the shopping strips of Carnegie, Bentleigh and Elsternwick. The PayStay app is an optional tool that allows drivers to check real-time parking availability in areas where sensors are installed, helping reduce time spent searching for a parking space.

What’s changing

The new sensor technology helps to make parking easier to find and fairer to use in busy shopping areas. Parking remains free, with existing time limits unchanged unless otherwise signed.

The sensor technology will show real-time availability of parking through the PayStay app. The information collected will also help Council better understand parking demand and usage trends to support future parking improvements.

Importantly, the parking sensors do not collect personal information, record licence plate numbers or track individual drivers.
