Glen Eira Council are replacing uneven and broken sections of the footpath surface on both sides of Centre Road, Bentleigh, between Rose Street and Jasper Road.
To support a greener Glen Eira, where possible, sustainable and environmentally friendly resources and processes are used as part of the projects. In these upgrades, a recycled asphalt which incorporates crushed concrete, recycled asphalt and glass is being used
Works will take two weeks to complete from Sunday 27 July to Sunday 10 August, weather permitting.
Most of the works will take place overnight to minimise impacts to traders and visitors to Centre Road.
Works will take place between 7pm and 5.30am, Sunday to Thursday nights. Some paving works need to take place during the day. This will occur between 7am and 4pm weekdays.
The footpath on both sides of Centre Road will remain open during the works. However, specific sections where works are being undertaken will be closed off while we complete the works. Please follow the onsite signage when travelling through the area. There will be some dust and noise however contractors will do their best to minimise it.
